About the project

A catalogue of over 22,000 items — each with size and colour variants — is impossible to maintain by hand. A conventional store would need an entire team just to keep stock and prices up to date.

ShopSchool solves the problem at the root: the store is built around the supplier integration. Products, variants, images, stock and prices are imported and refreshed automatically through the API, on a dropshipping model — no own inventory, no manual data handling. The store’s team focuses on selling and on customers, not on operating data.

Key features

Catalogue

22,000+ items with variants

Products organised by category, with size and colour variants, multiple images and fast filtering — the supplier’s full catalogue, available online.

Sync

Automatic API imports

Stock and prices refresh on a schedule, straight from the supplier’s system. A product that runs out at the supplier is pulled from sale automatically — zero unfulfillable orders.

Dropshipping

No own inventory

Customer orders are forwarded to the supplier for direct delivery — the store runs without a warehouse and without capital locked in stock.

Checkout

Simple cart and checkout

An ordering flow optimised for parents and schools, with multi-size orders in a single session.

Admin

Dedicated control panel

Orders, margins and categories managed from a dedicated panel — pricing rules on top of supplier cost, applied automatically at import.

Performance

Fast at any scale

Imports run asynchronously in the background and the catalogue stays fast to browse regardless of size — an architecture designed for tens of thousands of products.

Technology and approach

  • Backend: Laravel (PHP), MySQL, scheduled imports with queues and jobs for large data volumes.
  • Integration: REST API to the supplier’s system — products, variants, stock, prices and images.
  • Business model: dropshipping with configurable margin rules, applied automatically on every sync.
  • Frontend: a fast storefront optimised for browsing large catalogues and for mobile.

Selling online with a catalogue that’s hard to manage?

If your supplier has an API — or even just export files — we can build a store that maintains itself: automatic imports, live stock, orders forwarded directly.
